Based on promising preliminary results in campaign 2009/10 within the scope of a project for the optimum processing of long-stored sugar beets, an automated on-line determination of the optimal flocculating point is tested in the running campaign. The compliance with the pH-value in the juice purification is an essential requirement for an undisturbed course of this processing step. In particular, in phases with frequently changing beet quality an automated determination of this parameter could yield decisive improvements. [more] |
